Roots of Heaven

There are places where the sky is not above us, but passes through us and sends its roots deep into what is invisible.

«Roots of Heaven» is a story about the union of light with depth, of spirituality with nature, and of the conscious with what lies hidden beneath the surface. The central figure does not dominate the space — it becomes a part of it, an axis joining two worlds. The luminous wings symbolize an inner awakening, while the golden roots, submerged in water, remind us that true growth always requires being rooted.

Beneath the surface one can make out stones covered with mysterious signs and an octopus — guardian of the depths, a symbol of wisdom, intuition and the ability to find one's way where the light does not reach. These are elements that do not impose their presence but reveal themselves gradually, inviting an attentive discovery of the painting's successive layers.

The painting was created with an acrylic technique using glazes, golden accents and structural elements that change their character with the light that falls on them. Thanks to this, the composition is constantly transforming — revealing new details with every glance.

«Roots of Heaven» invites you to pause and ask: do our roots grow from the earth, or perhaps from what we carry within ourselves?

The deepest roots do not always lead downward. Sometimes they grow toward the light.
