Toward the Light
I painted this work about a dream. About that quiet one, hidden deep inside — the one a person carries within for years, sometimes without even knowing it is there.
A woman's silhouette in profile, immersed in deep blue — as if she herself were the sea, a lake, an expanse of water. And inside that silhouette, where the neck should be, where the heart beats — a small white sailboat sails toward the light. Toward something brighter. Toward something you can feel but find hard to name.
That is exactly what the dream is. Small. Uncertain. But moving forward.
The golden signs and symbols scattered across the canvas are, for me, a whisper — of something greater that accompanies us on the way, even when we cannot see it. On the right, a delicate pink breaks through the white — because no road toward the light is only cool and calm. There is warmth too. There is tenderness too.
I paint intuitively, and this painting was very personal to me. I hope you find something in it too.
Signed by me, finished with varnish, stretched on a 3D stretcher frame — ready to hang without a frame.
