Heart of Mu

Acrylic on canvas · 100 × 100 cm

Two faces, violet and blue, gaze at each other in profile.

Together they form one great heart, outlined by a thin golden line with small spirals. These are not portraits, but two energies: feminine and masculine, intuition and structure, nature and geometry.

In the head on the left grows a golden tree of life. Its roots descend all the way to the neck, and in its crown spirals coil. This is the memory of the body, of the earth and of lineage. In the head on the right floats a luminous structure of lines and points, resembling a crystal or a human figure inscribed in sacred geometry. This is order, light and knowledge. Two spaces that in everyday life pass each other by here meet.

Between the faces runs a vertical streak of light. It rises from the top of a stepped pyramid with an arched entrance, standing on calm, navy-blue water. On both sides loom the silhouettes of sunken cities and towers built of stone, guardians of memory. This is Mu, a land found on no map, yet which, according to legend, has remained in human memory.

«Heart of Mu» tells of how love and true encounter are not born of similarity, but of the joining of two different worlds. Only when they meet does a gate open, through which light flows.
